Interspecies=種間オーガニックとエレクトリック、アナログとデジタルの融合による進化/深化/新化をコンセプトに掲げたinterspecies recordsの最新レーベルコンピ。その名の通り異種間交雑をすることで非凡な世界観がもたらされた収録曲群は、ジャンルとしてはHOUSE/TECHNOからロービート,ベースミュージック等様々で、その解釈・手法も千差万別かつ個性的だが、明確なコンセプトのもとに集められているため凡庸なコンピレーションとは異なり通して聴くことでその違いを楽しめる。聴くことによってもたらされる感情の起伏は大きく、どれもがオリジナリティーに溢れるスペシャルな曲集となっている。 DJならば幅広いシーンで末長くDJセットに組み込まれる一枚、リスナーならばリピートし続けるだろう愛聴盤となりうる類い稀なコンピレーション。

Interspecies=between species The latest label compilation album released from interspecies records with the concept of “Evolution/deepening/revolution through the fusion of organic and electric, and analog and digital”. KAWATA WALK DOWN

<1>雨音から始まり物悲しさ漂うピアノから繊細なビートが入ってくる冒頭。dubstep/ ベースミュージックの形態をとりつつも、曲中に効果的に用いられる残響により内省的な気持ちにさせられ、且つ何度もリピートしたくなるこの感じは正にアーバンメローR&B。フロアの流れを変え、一夜の中で印象に残る一曲となるのでは。Beginning with a sound of rain drop, it continues from a melancholic piano to a delicate beat. < 3 >前作organic machineが現場派DJに支持されているDJ RYOTA待望の新作。今回は自らが作曲及びリーダーを務めるバンド『WARPS』からの影響を感じさせ、長いDJキャリアに裏打ちされた音鳴りと単純でない微妙な空気感で盛り上がる世界観を実現。執拗なほどに作り込まれた目まぐるしい展開が、この曲を特別なものとしており、さながらTECHNO/HOUSE meets JAMといった風情で曲頭から一音ずつ辿っていくうちの忘我。文字通りのWARP感。Long-awaited new track by DJ RYOTA whose previous work is “organic machine”, which is widely accepted by club DJs. < 4 >アフリカに傾倒した作品を作り続けるDJ NORIZMが更なる進化

を遂げた新快作。アフリカの奔放さと日本の様式美が共存する彼にしか作り出せないだろう稀有な一曲。夜の水辺を密かに歩くかの如く低空に鳴り続けるシンセ音。そこにまるで清流のように美しく囁くアフリカンボイスサンプルが抜き差しされ時折闇を照らし出す。緩やかなBPMも心地良く、現場で引き立つ一曲となりそう。昨今、飽和気味のアフリカンハウスとは一線画す快作。

< 5 >今作をヘッドホンで聴いていると電子音が自分の頭の中で、まるで生き物のように動き出し右へ左へと飛び跳ねるかのような錯覚に陥る危険な一曲。しかしながら使われる音色は心地よく他に類を見ないオリジナリティー。VJとしても活躍する作者だが、今作をあえて暗闇の誰もいないフロアで聴いてみたい。そこには見えるはずのない映像が浮かび上がってくる予感。
